Dr. Alisa Naiman
BHSc, MHSc, MD, CCFP - Medical Director & Family Physician
Dr. Alisa Naiman is the Founder and Medical Director of The Medical Station and holds a degree in Family Medicine from the University of Toronto.
For the past ten years, Dr. Naiman has provided comprehensive primary care for her patients in various health care settings, including community health care centres, walk-in clinics, home visits, and family health organizations.
Dr. Naiman has completed a Masters of Health Science in Community Health and Epidemiology. Following her Family Medicine training, she completed an Academic Research Fellowship in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
She has also been a Strategic Training Fellow in Interdisciplinary Primary Health Care Research, Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR).
An expert in her field, Dr. Naiman has appeared in the Toronto Star, National Post, Globe & Mail, on CNN International, Global TV, CBC and various radio stations across Canada.
She is the Co-resident Research Coordinator at Toronto East General Hospital and has lectured at the department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
When Dr. Naiman is not caring for her patients and clients, she enjoys playing soccer, cycling, or spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Carolyn Tam
MSc, MD, CCFP - Family Physician
Dr. Carolyn Tam is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care to you and your family at The Medical Station.
Dr. Tam is a graduate of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University and the family medicine residency program at McGill University in Montreal.
Since Dr. Tam completed her residency, she has gained valuable experience providing primary health care to diverse populations in a variety of settings, including community health centres, walk-in clinics, and academic family health teams.
Her medical philosophy centres of providing "whole-person care,” ensuring that the psychosocial as well as physical aspects of wellness are addressed.
She is a strong proponent of preventive care, health promotion, and patient engagement. Dr. Tam is looking forward to working with the team at the Medical Station to provide comprehensive and continuing care.
Dr. Jennifer Zelovitzky
MBA, MD, CCFP - Family Physician
Dr. Jennifer Zelovitzky is a highly dedicated and enthusiastic provider of patient-centred care. She believes that medicine is best delivered when there is a true partnership between the physician and patient.
Dr. Zelovitzky began her unique career in health care when she earned an MBA in Healthcare Administration through the New York Institute of Technology. Upon completing her degree, however, she realized her true passion lies in the direct care of patients. She then earned her M.D. at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, followed by the family medicine residency program at the University of Toronto (Sunnybrook site).
Since the completion of her residency, Dr. Zelovitzky has continued to develop her clinical skills through her work at the Immigrant Women’s Health Centre of Toronto, as well as at a community family practice. These experiences have contributed to her strong focus on preventative care.
When she is not working Dr. Zelovitzky loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, baking, doing yoga, and trying out new restaurants with her friends.
Dr. Jordana Boro
MD, CCFP - Family Physician
Dr. Jordana Boro is a highly dedicated family physician who values the importance of providing patient-centred care in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment.
Dr. Boro graduated medical school from the University of Toronto and continued her Family Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Since completing her residency, Dr. Boro has completed a fellowship in Women’s Health and Low Risk Obstetrics.
In addition to providing full-spectrum Family Medicine care to individuals of all ages, Dr. Boro hopes to incorporate her expertise in women’s health and obstetrics into her practice at The Medical Station.
She recognizes the unique role that Family Physicians play in providing this type of care, and looks forward to sharing in these special moments with her patients.
Dr. Boro also has a strong interest in medical education and training the physicians of the future. She is currently completing a Masters Degree through the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto in Health Practitioner Teacher Education.
Dr. Boro is a passionate patient advocate who believes in preventative medicine and a comprehensive and integrated approach to care.
When Dr. Boro is not caring for her patients or delivering babies on the labour floor, she enjoys baking, spinning, and spending time with family and friends.
