Social Worker Lynn Adirim's approach to her work at The Medical Station in North York focuses on compassionate care for the whole family.
Lynn has been working for the Toronto District Board of Education for over 30 years.
She has dealt with many issues confronting children and their parents, ranging from divorce, death, anxiety, and interpersonal and intergenerational conflicts.
Her approach has been one of Solution Focus and Narrative. She has had a private practice devoted to children and marital therapy.
Over the past 15 years, Lynn has been involved in assisting clients with weight management. She has lectured on this subject extensively and has led a weight management group for several years.
To be successful in dealing with weight issues, Lynn knows there is no such thing as a one size fits all approach. Rather, it must incorporate many areas such as nutrition, physical activity, and the psychological aspects.
