At The Medical Station in North York, our in-clinic Social Worker offers compassionate and supportive care to individuals, families, and groups.
What does a Social Worker do?
Through personalized interaction, our Social Worker aims to empower individuals to develop the skills and abilities to resourcefully manage any challenges they may be facing.
Common areas of counselling include weight management, family issues dealing with couple, child, and adolescent challenges. Other areas of need may be depression, anxiety, anger, and grief counselling.
This work might be done individually or in a group setting depending on the circumstances.
Will insurance cover social work services?
Social work services follow a fee for service model. Many medical insurance plans will reimburse clients for social work service fees provided by a Social Worker. Please check your group or individual insurance policy for coverage details.
Social work services are tax deductible under medical expenses. Individual social work service fees are HST exempt.
