Zofia helps patients move – with less pain and more flexibility, with more balance and more strength – towards achieving their goals.
All her life Zofia has been interested in the human body; how it works and how it’s put together. Growing up in Huntsville, Zofia was constantly outdoors and loved hiking, cross-country skiing, kayaking, and running with her dog. She took her love of exercise and her curiosity of the human body with her to Toronto, where she studied Kinesiology at York University and completed her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Shortly following graduation, she began her professional career as a Physical Therapist at The Centre for Health & Sports Medicine in North York.
Zofia’s goals include helping people to move; move with less pain and more flexibility, move with more balance and more strength, move towards achieving their goals. She has had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients in all walks of life: ranging from 4 to 97 years old, from pre- to post-natal, from professional athlete to professional couch potato. In her seven years of practice, she’s also gained tremendous experience in post-surgical care for a variety of orthopedic procedures including, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic meniscal repair, rotator cuff and labral repair, as well as ankle and spinal fusion.
Zofia enjoys expanding her abilities and knowledge and has furthered her education by taking multiple post-graduate physical therapy courses to fine-tune her skills as a manual therapist. She recently became certified as a Nordic Pole Walking Instructor. The ways to get people moving are endless and Zofia hopes to continue broadening her abilities as part of the great team at The Medical Station.
