As a Chiropractor, Dr. Ngai Chow is dedicated to addressing The Medical Station patients’ chiropractic care needs in a comprehensive and collaborative manner.
Dr. Ngai Chow received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2014. Prior to this, he received a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo.
He is currently completing a 2-year fellowship program in Clinical Sciences at CMCC, where he also tutors undergraduate chiropractic students and interns. Dr. Chow also assists with independent medical examinations.
Dr. Chow believes in a collaborative approach to patient care and has experience working with other health professionals (including physicians, surgeons, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, etc) in the Academic Family Health Team at St. Michael’s Hospital, the Rheumatology Department at Mount Sinai Hospital, and the Fracture Clinic at Hamilton General Hospital.
He treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions using spinal mobilization/manipulation (adjustments), myofascial release therapy, medical acupuncture/electroacupuncture, rehabilitative exercises, and lifestyle counselling.
Through the support of three CIHR training awards, Dr. Chow has been involved in several research projects in the areas of interprofessional education/collaboration, the non-operative treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis, and neck pain.
In his spare time, Dr. Chow enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
